I don’t know which is the better way to describe it: the universe laughing in my face or the Almighty handing me yet another spiritual challenge.
Time and again, what should have happened never did and what shouldn’t have, somehow, did.
To be honest, my chest clenched so tightly I swear I could hear my own pulse.
My cheeks burned and the heat spreading throughout my face,
my blood rushed so fast I thought it might explode and I wondered if people could see it too.
Hours later, in the middle of something trivial I chuckled,
Because funnily enough, of all things, we ended up talking about baggage? Literal baggage, not the figurative one though! Seriously, among everything I wanted to say (and believe me, there was a lot), the silence filled with those.
While I kept trying to decode what the universe was telling me,
I circled back to the same thought:
if only I had said what I wanted.
With eyes and to your face.
It wasnt anything grand really, I just wished these simple prayers came across.
So, if this letter reaches you—
Hey, good luck.
This is really might be the time of your life.
And I know you don’t need anyone's validation, let alone me,
but I am endlessly proud of you.
I meant it every time I said it.
I know you live somewhere between nervous and calm,
but I've watched you push through every single time.
